Hulu’s 8-episode Fertile Crescent, which is a co-production between Hulu and broadcaster Arte France, will star James Purefoy (The OA, The Following) as a French man looking for his estranged sister in the middle east. During his search, he joins forces with an all-female Kurdish rebel unit, and through his eyes we see the tragedy of the Syrian war unfold, and the impact that it has on the world.
Fun fact: This series won the Pitching competition at Series Mania, a French TV festival, in 2017.
