Late novelist Mo Hayder’s DI Jack Caffery series is finally coming to the screen. For those of you not familiar with Ms. Hayder’s work, suffice it to say that it is DARK. Each book centers on a gruesome new case, but there is a running storyline about Caffery’s suspicion, and attempts to prove, that his childhood neighbor murdered Caffery’s brother when they were young. Filming has begun in Wales.
Ukweli Roach is starring as Jack Caffery, and the cast includes Sian Reese-Williams (Hidden), Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones), Owen Teale (Line of Duty) and more. Although the show is titled Wolf, the first book in the Jack Caffery series is actually Birdman, which you can buy here. (affiliate link)
As a huge fan of Ms. Hayder’s work, I have high hopes that this adaptation of the DI Jack Caffery series meets expectations.
