The Beast Must Die, which was a smash hit in the UK, drops in the U.S. July 12 on AMC Broadcast. However, if you have AMC+, you can watch episodes 1 & 2 right now. It’s based on the 1938 book by Nicholas Blake, which you can check out here. (affiliate link) The series stars Cush Jumbo as a woman who is seeking revenge for the death of her son. Jared Harris, a nasty patriarch of a local rich family, is her first suspect. Billy Howle is the detective determined to solve the case, but he has issues of his own. Based on UK reviews I’ve read, it sounds like The Beast Must Die is an acting tour de force. You can watch the trailer here.
