Jack Irish is a popular Australian series based on the books by Peter Temple, which you can find here. (affiliate link) Jack Irish stars Guy Pearce as the smart-alek former lawyer, now reluctant detective. Apparently, the character is so beloved in Australia, that there have been several adaptations of the books. Sadly, author Peter Temple died in 2018 after the third book was published. Currently, the third and final season of Jack Irish is due to drop on Acorn in 2021, but meanwhile, you can watch seasons 1 and 2 now. Here is a trailer for season 2.
