Beforeigners, the first Norwegian original for HBO, is a sci-fi crime drama created by the people who made Lilyhammer. In present day Oslo, mysterious strangers appear who turn out to be refugees from different eras, like the Viking or Stone Age. The show starts 5 years after their arrival, with a time traveling detective and a present time detective paired up to solve a murder. The creators were inspired by the movie District 9 and the series The Leftovers. The show was a hit in Norway. You can see the trailer here.
