Netflix is adapting a highly anticipated series of the popular Harry Hole detective novels by Jo Nesbø (affiliate link). In the starring role is Tobias Santelmann, award-winning Norwegian actor who has starred in The Last Kingdom and Blinded: Those Who Kill among others. Playing nemesis detective Tom Waaler is Swedish actor Joel Kinnaman, who you will remember from the US version of The Killing. Further cast includes Sweden’s Peter Stormare from Fargo and The Big Lebowski, Norwegian Pia Tjelta from State of Happiness, Swede Josefin Asplund of Top Dog fame, and more big names from across Scandinavia. Clearly, Harry Hole will be a must-watch. Let’s hope the adaptation is solid.
