Based on the book Goldstein, (affiliate link) the third in the “Gereon Rath” series by Volker Kutscher, Babylon Berlin season 4 takes place in 1931. The SA, or Storm Troopers, who are Hitler’s paramilitary force, are violently active in pushing the Nazi agenda. Meanwhile, American Jewish gangster Abraham Goldstein arrives in Berlin to retrieve a family heirloom, inadvertently changing the power structure of the criminal underworld. Charlotte’s beloved younger sister Toni has become a criminal, endangering Charlotte’s job as an investigator. And Gereon is working undercover against the Nazi party.

North Americans can watch Babylon Berlin season 4 starting June 25 on MHz Choice, with a 2-episode premiere.
