In After The Flood, on BritBox, an unidentified man is found, presumed drowned, in an elevator after a devastating flood. When the truth points to foul play, the authorities put PC Joanna Marshall (Sophie Rundle) in charge of his case.
PC Marshall has been a cop for years, but longs to be a detective. She is very pregnant, so now might not be the best time, but she is going to grab the ring. Regular viewers of British crime series will wonder how in the heck a police constable (not even a detective!) is tapped to lead an investigation, but hopefully the series addresses that.
